Project Brief
During this project, I worked with Writing Brave Press to redesign Stephanie Harper's fiction novel, "Wesley Yorstead Goes Outside." We collaborated closely to bring her creative vision to life, and after a few concepts, I created a cover that met all of the client's expectations while capturing the essence of the book's content. It was an honor to work on this project.

Initial Concepts
After closely examining the client's request and preferences, I fully understood their design goals for the book cover. As the story takes place in two distinct locations, inside an apartment and the outside, it was important to include a door as a symbol of transition between them. Additionally, since art is a recurring theme in the novel, it was crucial to infuse the cover design with an artistic essence to match the client's aesthetic. Using these insights, I developed two preliminary concepts. The first concept features a prominent door element, representing the narrative's duality. The second concept takes an immersive artistic approach to capture the novel's creative essence.
Second Round of Concepts
Following the presentation of the initial concepts, the client expressed a preference for the second concept. Subsequent to receiving feedback, it became evident that only minor adjustments were necessary. Consequently, a revised version was promptly developed and shared for further consideration.
Final and Approved Concept
The revised concept went through a second iteration and received approval. This paved the way for creating the final version, which includes the spine and back cover.
